A man was stabbed early Sunday morning near Montreal’s Notre-Dame Basilica.
Police were dispatched to the intersection of Notre-Dame and Saint-François-Xavier streets following a 911 call received around 2:15 a.m.
They found the victim, a 27-year-old man, with an upper-body injury.
He was hospitalized, but his life is not believed to be in danger.
No arrests have been made and the victim isn’t cooperating with police, said SPVM spokesperson Julien Lévesque.
Investigators set up a security perimeter and called in the canine unit and a forensic expert to help clarify the circumstances around this incident.
