Four arrested in Airdrie after injuring locals with BB guns

Four males were arrested in Airdrie after injuring six people with BB guns.

Mounties said the incident took place Friday night around 9:30 p.m. when they received multiple calls about a group of men with BB guns. Just before midnight, the RCMP took four males into custody and a shelter in place order was lifted from the core.

The response was undertaken by RCMP, the Calgary police HAWCS helicopter service, police dogs and the emergency response team.

Three of the four males have been released. Charges are pending against a 19-year-old, of Airdrie, who remains in custody.

Six locals were treated for minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
